Ghoul Mourning, Maniacs!!!!
I want to share with you, my book cover. This is the front of Ha-Ha! Horror, coming soon, from Mystery & Horror LLC. I want to thank Gwen Mayo and Sarah Glenn, of M.A.H.L.L.C., for taking on my project, and all of the people (Julie and Andrew Davis, of Cats Like Us, and all of the wonderful blurb providers) that have been very patient and helpful, with its development. We’ll have more information coming shortly, so for now, it’s my painting sequence. What I tried to bring into this painting, is slapstick comedy. That moment when the Phantom gets unmasked? What if he was cross eyed, and the orchestra (silent movie, so a live orchestra was fairly common) hit a car horn sound, like “Ooooga!!” or something like it. Plus, the influences on me over time- Mad Magazine, comic books, Famous Monsters, pulp magazine covers, etc., just begged to be toyed with! I hope I achieved my goals here.
