Pinhead Painting

I have been a long time fan of Hellraiser and Doug Bradley as the Cenobite Pinhead, since first watching the film on VHS, as a high school junior in 1988. I bought the Screamin’ vinyl model and put it together in my first apartment when I was 19. I used to workout to the Hellbound soundtrack. I loved the music, as it reminded me of Wagner. So, what would happen if I painted the lead Cenobite and met him? Glad you AXED!

I was an exhibitor at Niagara Falls Comic Con.  I got to meet him and amazing artist Stephanie Ciullo. I first met them in September, but this was different. I was putting my heart on this canvas.

Doug signed the painting and clowned around to make me less nervous. We talked about our mutual love of the band Ghost. My booth neighbor went with me for some moral support. Meeting your favorite modern day horror icon is a bit overwhelming.
